Fabulous Contraptions is a charming, innovative walkabout act featuring two intrepid time travellers… from the past! The Captain and The Professor glide effortlessly on their Time Machines but are simply confounded by the incredible technology all around them. They seek answers from those they encounter on their journey – in the name of science!
The act provides a not-too-heavy dose of educational entertainment by provoking curiosity in the kids, adults and families who are equally drawn into the narrative. The naivety of the travellers keeps a light-hearted slant on the interactions.
The Time Machines themselves are a feat of modern technology – self-balancing Electric Unicycles. Similar to a Segway, but only one wheel! Whilst nimble enough to negotiate busy pedestrian areas, they are perfect for events requiring large coverage and great for parades.

Notes: Large space with mostly smooth concrete required (the electric mono-wheels can ride over most surfaces including cobbles, grass and gravel, but not kerbs).
Parades: the machines have a range of about 10 miles of continuous riding.
