Circus. in a Field! Summary
In 2015 Let’s Circus established a new style of circus festival and training events – Circus. in a Field! Set amongst the Big Tops, outdoor rigs and custom built circus barn of our superb private property site in the beautiful Northumbrian countryside, the event attracts performers, trainers and participants from all across the world. The remote location provides everything you need to focus on training, or to enjoy the performances from our international artists.
This format can be transferred to other sites, as an offer of infrastructure with or without programming.
A Circus. in a Field! (or City) programme includes:
Partner Acrobatics intensive, Intensive Circus Training, Act mentoring, direction and devising stream, Public Circus Festival Performance programme and Summer Circus day school for beginners.
The event also has a Performance Festival:
At our performance festival day we present some of the finest modern circus from around the world. Three stylish, contemporary, award winning circus companies present their shows in the remote yet intimate surrounds of our site.
Training style:
This festival of circus training is a total immersion in circus, unlike any other in the UK. It gives you the chance to eat, sleep, live circus, surrounded by others who are all doing the same. We keep student to teacher rations low and with up to 40 workshops each day offer diversity and depth. Our trainers come from right across the world.
Every night features a different circus production – cabarets, international ensemble shows, variety and entertainment. It is the largest programme of contemporary circus in Northumberland.
