Street Entertainment & Walkabout

Street Shows

A ‘Street’ or ‘Circle’ show is entertainment in a non-traditional theatre space. They can take place almost anywhere and develop a strong play between artist and audience. Let’s Circus is developing group shows on a regular basis, and our core performers deliver street entertainment of the highest standard. In 2011 we mentored a range of up and coming street performers who work with skills as diverse as unicycling, acrobatics, juggling, balance arts, character comedy, fire manipulation and magic. All of these acts are available for hire. As bookers of several international entertainment programmes, we are constantly developing relationships with new artists from across the country and further afield. If you’re event needs street entertainment – we can help.

Walkabout/Roaming

The most interactive of entertainment, Walkabout Performance puts art, skill and colour amongst the public. We can provide both professional walkabout acts along with professionally mentored community and youth crews. Acts include costumed characters, balloon modelers, close-up magic, jugglers, starfish, unicycling characters, fire-performers etc.

Stiltwalkers

Let’s Circus has a range of in-house stiltwalking characters including Jellyfish Ladies, Snake-headed Medusas, A Statue of Liberty, Tuxedos and Ballgowns, Sgt. Pepper-esque psychedelic tux and trousers crew, A Gentleman Juggler, Yellow and White Carnival Crew, Sailors, a Priest, a Carmen Miranda, a Witch on a Bonfire, The Devil, a four-legged winged Moth-Cat, monsters and more. We can also adapt bespoke tophalf to suit stiltwalking costumes and our costumiere can design anything to commission.

Fire Shows

Renowned pyrotechnic performers Rob Thorburn and Steve Cousins have produced fire-based art and entertainment events with the leading performers and companies from around the world. This in-house experience, combined with the highest standards of safety, make for a professional result from Let’s Circus fire productions. We are one of the only companies in the UK with full insurance cover related specifically to teaching young people how to safely work with fire in a theatrical/circus context.

Our entertainment programs combine with our workshop and participation activities to demystify circus and provide accessibility to inspiring tutors. Our knowledge of what works allows us to combine the right artists, in the right programme to suit each event.
