Community & Social Circus

Social Circus is the global methodology of using circus to teach powerful social and personal tools. Our approach to workshops sees a focus beyond just the generation of physical skills. Participants receive an outlet of creative expression, a form of physical and mental exercise, a channel for managed risk-taking and the opportunity to work as a team. These experiences are essential in creating well-rounded individuals.

We develop community circus projects focused on empowering individuals and consolidating a community of participants around them. We have successfully instigated ongoing circus clubs, founded a street arts festival and initiated ongoing international cultural exchange projects. We are cultural catalysts with the ultimate aim of a lasting legacy.

We regularly initiate and get involved with International exchange projects to less-developed regions of the world. We have a sister-circus relationship with Sarakasi in Nairobi, Kenya and in 2009 alone will be working on four continents. Our projects in the developed world feed directly into this program and vice versa. This is just part of our approach to developing interlinked communities with broad horizons.
